October 14th, 2023 Tennessee Volunteers vs. Texas A&M Aggies
The outcome was not what Aggies wanted but it was great to be hosts to the football team, the yell leaders, the out of town Aggies, and all the Association staff who helped put together and hold all of the events surrounding the football game. Thanks to everyone who helped put things together and thanks to all the Aggies for all the continued support.
The final score was Tennessee Volunteers 20 and Texas A&M 13.
The Club sold 100 shirts and once we collect the few outstanding payments remaining we will have raised $2,763.82 from t-shirt sales for Club activities, costs, and our scholarship.
Yell Practice and All Aggie HQ
Yell Practice had an estimated 500 people at the Knoxville Convention Center and was a huge success! There was a packet section of Carolina Ale House for the All Aggie HQ and also there was a raffle for some Aggie swag. One lucky Aggie won both of the prizes with two different raffle tickets.

Tickets
Tennessee has announced that they have sold out season tickets (see announcement) and that no single game tickets will be available for the Tennessee vs Texas A&M game on October 14th. One suggestion for tickets is to go to ticketmaster.com and search for “Tennessee Volunteers vs Texas A&M Aggies football.” Please note that all Tennessee home game tickets are now 100% electronic so we recommend you download the Tennessee Athletics App on your phone’s App Store.

Parking for Oct 13th Yell Practice
University of Tennessee Parking Services was contacted and they said anyone can park for free in the University’s 11th Street Garage Friday evening after 5pm Friday up until 3am Saturday. The location is here and is a short walk to/from the convention center. No overnight parking!! Be out by 3am. Also, don’t park in the area marked as parking for the University Police Department. That is labeled pretty well and is the entrance from 11th Street. Using either entrances from White Street or 12th Street will guarantee you are not in the Police Dept parking area.
Also, normal parking for the Knoxville Convention Center is in the Locust Street Garage.
If you are going to go eat or go to Market Square before Yell Practice then maybe 11th Street Parking Garage may not be the best for you. Here are other parking options if you don’t want 11th Street Parking garage.
- There are two hotels across the street that may let people park for a fee. Not sure if one has to be staying at the hotel but that is usually the case. One could call them ahead of time and see if parking is possible for a fee. The Tennessean hotel (865-232-1800) or the Marriott Knoxville Downtown (865-522-2800)
